A FREE EVENT FEATURING MUSIC, ART AND INSPIRATION
Sunday July 25th London’s International Festival Of Peace will be holding an all day free event at Greenwich’s Millennium Dome to showcase peaceful culture in all of its forms.
Musicians, artists, poets, inspirational speakers, cultural leaders, representatives of indigenous peoples and different spiritual traditions, will all be presenting ideas, solutions and entertainment based on the one central theme of living together peacefully.
The idea behind the event is that to attain lasting peace we need to move beyond seeing peace as just the absence of war to creating a positive vision of people living together in harmony that isn’t anti anything or anybody. This can only happen by creating a culture of peace. The International Festival Of Peace is a call to all people to gather for day to explore how we can create this together.
All races, creeds, colours of people are invited in all their different shapes and sizes. Just by taking one Day Out Of Time, we can at least begin together the process of creating World Peace. Then step by step we can perhaps begin to create new possibilities in our world that can move beyond our old conflicts.
The International Festival Of Peace is part of a global celebration and meditation called the Day Out Of Time that will be bringing together millions of people in more than 35 countries with more than 500 events worldwide.
