My birthday is on August 13th (the somewhat disputed start of the long count calendar...right? I'm new...), and my 39th birthday (the 3rd 13 year cycle) curiously falls on the year 2012...just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or comments on this, or any suggestions on beginner learning sources regarding the calendars...thanks!

The best resource I found is www.tortuga.com. I'm still new to this too but it sounds like a big birthday party.
