Seeking ethereal enlightment of the belief systems on how the universe is/was divided into many layers. Expansion of the knowledge of The Mayan people who believed that the crust of the earth was a thin layer between the real world and the spirit world. Seek and ye shall find - more information on how skulls and skeletons are signs of regeneration, and bones as seeds - how this was integrated in Mayan belief that everything dies and goes into the earth and from the earth comes new life.

Touch bases with me and expand on the beliefs of the Mayan shamans and their awareness that there is spirit world behind their reality.

Regenerate my mind with expansion of the ideals pertaining to how in Mayan belief systems, Birth was coming out of the spirit world and death was returning to the spirit world. This believe extended towards an unending cycle that affected everything. For example - the manner in which crops would grow and die if the spirit world let them.

    Very beautiful post!

I hadn't thought about the male/female aspects of Mayan Gods and Goddesses.

Death is male (Ah Puch), as is Manik the God of sacrifice and Ek Chuah (the God of war).

Suicide is ruled over by a female goddess (Ix Tab)

It's interesting in Western culture that Male Gods are socially acceptable. It is 'socially acceptable by the state' to die for your country (sacrifice) and devote extreme efforts towards war yet suicide is considered 'bad' or not socially acceptable.

In Japan, for example, this hasn't always been the case.

One also wonders, in the evolution of Mayan thought if at first the God of sacrifice wasn't thought of as a god of 'self-sacrifice'. Then, slowly through time... instead of sacrificing one's self other people were substituted as a show of one's power.

Ix chel would be the one to bring life ... "Lady Rainbow". Also brings storms and devestation. The Moon.

"...O vibration song, the power of music, here I am, here you are, spirit, what manifests in form, principle that there is no form without ..."

Ehecatl (the Nahuatl word for Kukulkan) God of the Wind... Responsible for bringing Music to Earth.

    A la Kin. Namaste.

        Interesting question.

Don Juan, of the Carlos Casteneda books, says his tribe... the Yaquis, where descendents of the original Maya who fled sites such as Palenque in the end of the 9th Baktun. He says they were one of many.

The 9th Baktun was the height of Palenque, and of Muhammed. It was the Dark Ages, from a western standpoint.

I think it was known, that the sword would be more powerful than beauty... for a long time... and it was best to go in to hiding and spread like the four winds.

That said, I think these are the mysteries that have to be found within. One can find recollections in books, these are valuable... My favorite place to meditate on these mysteries would be the Grupo C area in Palenque (or maybe a walk along a beach or in a forest).

I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I like bouncing ideas back and forth.

I would have to agree with D...
I like to track the Planetary Memory via heart rhythms...
          spinning me into a trance...
the pulsations carry me into whichever stream I bring focus too.

But the focus comes from your presence and observation of all the things that bombard you and try to sabotage you...
It is the deviant mind-field of thoughtforms created through many akin who are unconsciously jabbering around the Sun, blah blah blah, TV, radiowaves, cellphones, behavioural patterns of thought that congest the airwaves to the Ultimate library of Planetary Records...

I have never been to the land of the Maya, but I have...(whenever I talk like this with my beloved she always laughs... but its true!)

There have been moments when I am accidentally presencing due to some beautiful cloud in the sky, or an amazing creature is crawling up the bedpost, and I get lost in its splendor, and FLASH... there I am in a sacred circle seeing through a window of Time, the Maya and their culture, the people and their lives being lived, quick fading moments, glimmers into their truth...

then POOF the spider is crawling on my arm or the breeze picks up and catches a hair from my head and tickles my ear...
Awake... or asleep, whichever, this is how I find out the deepest about things I want to know about.

          See you there.

          Peace.

            Well said Jack.

Tho my experiences with the Library are quite limited, I have accessed its data but only briefly...

I feel nostalgic about a culture that i wasn't a part of, not even close in our "linear time" span...

As someone once told me... educate comes from a word meaning "to learn from within..."

            love.
